The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) is a not-for-profit professional society established in 1976. It is the oldest, largest and most respectied professional association for home inspectors in North America. Membership in ASHI is voluntary and its members include private, fee-paid home inspectors. The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) is a technical association of firms and individuals in the deep foundations construction and earth retention industry. Key strengths are: Offering networking opportunities to members; Communication of information concerning the state-of-the-art and new technologies; Offering opportunities for members to influence the industry through publications produced by volunteer committees; Offering educational conferences, seminars and workshops in the industry.

The International Code Council(r) (ICC(r)), a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. ICC offers a wide range of products and services including publications, software, videos, training, certification, code interpretation, plan review, and other resources to support code enforcement and all construction industry professionals.
